Biography:
Tanelle Smith is excited to start her 3rd year as the Women's Head Coach here with the Seaforth Hawks. She is a USATF certified coach with additional credentials in health and nutrition. Off the track she is married with 4 children. Graduated from Utah State University in Communicative Disorders, Speech Therapy. She works part-time from home as an operations manager. She has a strong passion for the sport and is committed to encouraging our student-athletes to develop their own passion. Through individual confidence, hard work and connecting as a team. Her prior coaching experience includes Assistant Coach for Cross Country at Northwood High School and Margaret B. Pollard Middle School.

Donnell Mitchell.
Men's Head Coach
Biography:
C. Donnell Mitchell, Sr., has been a track and cross country coach for sixteen years, assisting numerous athletes in achieving their personal goals -- from health and fitness to NCAA Division 1 college scholarships in track and cross country. He is a USATF Level 2 coach as well as a USATF certified official. He is married with three sons, and he coaches youth runners at Triangle Champions Track Club in Durham. His sons have been some of the most successful distance runners in North Carolina during the last decade. He is an NC State graduate in electrical engineering and also holds an MBA from UNC Chapel Hill Kenan Flagler Business School. Off the track he is an IT manager in pharmaceuticals and the owner (with his wife, Lynette) of the Harvest Learning Center preschool. As a runner at North Mecklenburg High School in Huntersville outside of Charlotte, he was a multiple conference champion and All-State in the mile.
