Submit the Seaforth Cheer Tryout Registration form prior to June 1st.
Please use your Chatham County stumail to fill out the tryout registration form.

Tryouts are for all potential cheerleaders and mascots interested in fall (football) cheer / winter (basketball) cheer.

Interest form. Please fill out this short form so Coach Algiere knows you're coming to the clinic! Before attending the Hawks Cheer Clinic, you need to have an updated physical uploaded to PlanetHS.
- What is it?
4-day clinic to get introduced to/reacquainted with everything cheer
- What's "everything cheer"?
Motions, jumps, sidelines, dance, and stunts
- Who can attend?
All current Seaforth students (students interested in being a cheerleader/mascot)
- What are the dates, times, and locations?
May 16 -19, 3:30-5:00pm, meet in the Aux Gym but we will spend time outdoors each day
- What do I need to bring?
Athletic shoes and attire, sweat towel, bottle of water. Long hair needs to be pulled back. Long nails need to be trimmed to fingertip ends to be allowed to stunt.

Hello fellow Hawks!
Interested in cheering for the Seaforth Hawks? Here are some important dates to mark on your calendar. Be in the know!
Take a look at the 2022 calendars for May, June, and July. Both fall and winter cheer are allowed to attend optional May and June workouts/practices. Tryouts in June are for both the fall and winter cheer seasons. Varsity and JV team placement will be decided during tryouts. Both the fall and winter season cheerleaders are required to attend the Jr. Cheer Camp in June and the UCA camp in July.

Ready for the SHS Basketball Cheer Clinic and Tryouts?
Take a moment to answer a few short questions related to cheer by Friday, October 22nd.
Tryout material is given on Oct. 27th, tryouts are Oct. 29th, teams are announced Oct. 30th.
The cheer team is co-ed.
Please complete all PlanetHS paperwork before attending cheer activities.

Both football & basketball cheer will be trying out on Aug. 2-3rd.

Hello, Seaforth Cheerleaders!
As we head into summer, please stay active, safe and hydrated. (See previous post for stretches and drills to incorporate into your weekly workouts.)

Optional cheer workouts will be July 26-29th, @ 3:30-5:00 PM, in the Seaforth Auxiliary Gym.

Tryouts will be August 2-3rd, @ 3:30-5:00 PM, in the Seaforth Auxiliary Gym.

Required practices start August 4th, @ 3:30-5:00 PM, in the Seaforth Auxiliary Gym. The season's practice schedule will be given at that time.

Hello Seaforth Cheer!
The cheerleading season will be up and going soon! In the meantime, please use the below links to follow UCA instructors in good stretching practices, motion drills, basic jumps, and I'll even add a toe touch jump for fun!
To condition your body for game day cheer, please make time for a good workout 3-5 days per week. Stretch, go for a jog or bike ride, and do strength training with weights or your own body weight. And remember, stay hydrated and be safe!
More cheer info will be coming soon. Please make sure that all your PlanetHS forms have been submitted, that your physical is up-to-date, and keep checking the Seaforth Athletics website for sports updates. Feel free to contact me, Coach Heather Algiere, at SeaforthCheerleading@gmail.com.
