Biography:

Coach Hubbard is a Chapel Hill, NC native with over 20 years of coaching and playing experience. A graduate of Chapel Hill High School in NC, Hubbard played football, basketball and lacrosse. In Lacrosse Hubbard played midfield, faced off, was a member of the 1997 State Champion team, earned All American honors, and went on to play collegiate lacrosse at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill (1999 – 2003) as a defenseman. After college, he returned to his high school alma mater (2004-2008) where he served as Defensive Coordinator and coached multiple players who went on to earn collegiate honors at all three levels of the NCAA. During Hubbard's tenure, CHHS won the 2007 and 2008 NCHSLA 4A State Championships after finishing second in 2006 and reaching the quarterfinals in 2005.  Hubbard was inducted into the CHHS-LHS Hall of Fame for athletic achievement and community service.

Coach Hubbard joined Lenoir-Rhyne University as the Defensive Coordinator for the program’s inaugural season in 2010 and assisted in the launch and development of the new NCAA Division II program for the Bears. After Coaching for LRU from 2010-2013, his wife, Lauren, and he returned home to Chapel Hill to raise their two children, Olivia and Danny. 

Coach Hubbard began coaching at East Chapel Hill HS, NC the same year, while also co-founding the Chapel Hill Lacrosse Club (CHLC) Men’s Team and coaching youth programs in the local area. During his time as assistant coach at ECHHS, the Wildcats achieved NC Eastern Regional Champions in 2018 and 2021 for 1/2/3A as well as conference champions four times and winners of the Battle for I40 trophy three times. 

Coach Hubbard believes in the goal to inspire student athletes to learn and respect the game of lacrosse while also learning to perform and contribute in the classroom, on the lacrosse field, and in the community. As a coach, he aims to encourage teamwork, dedication, and focus in all aspects of skill and competition.

Biography:

Coach Roberson is a Pittsboro native and Northwood graduate (2013-2017). While there he played football, wrestling, and lacrosse. He received All-Conference nods in wrestling and lacrosse, as well as multiple All-Region, All-State, All-American, and defensive player of the year awards for lacrosse. He currently holds school records for most ground balls, caused turn overs, and interceptions. His junior year he played in the Powerade State Games All-Star game and his senior year the Bull City All-Star game. During that time he also excelled academically receiving US Lacrosse academic All-American honors. In the travel team world he played and has helped out with Red Devil lacrosse. He attended Guilford College (2017-2021) where he majored in Exercise and Sports Sciences & Health Science and played lacrosse. He received multiple Deans list and Academic All-ODAC awards.
